We left Daytona Beach and are in Minnesota now

Christmas at Home.  Family and friends these are the things that make the season.

We rented a car at the Daytona Airport on Saturday morning then left Daytona Beach at midnight to drive to Fort Lauderdale Airport for our flight to Minnesota.  We had to be at the Fort Lauderdale airport for a 7:15 flight and the drive to Fort Lauderdale is about 4 1/2 hours.  We always allow plenty of time to make sure we don’t get tied up somewhere and miss a flight.

Our friends Matt and Rita took us to the airport in Daytona to pick up the car.

We flew out of Fort Lauderdale at 7:15 AM and landed at the Denver Airport at 9:40 AM (Denver time) and had to be on the flight to Minneapolis at 9:35 AM.  When we got to the counter to leave for Minneapolis they were starting to board the reserve ticket customers and checked us in quickly but as they had several people in standby group they continued to load.  Then they combined with mechanical problems and deicing of the wings we were about 30 min behind schedule.   Soooooo we landed at the Minneapolis Airport at 1:45 PM.

We were greeted by our daughter Dawn, her husband Emmett, and grandson William.  It was great to see them and we were so happy to be back for the holidays to see everyone back here in Minnesota.

Dawn, Emmett, and William had the Christmas tree decorated and lights and decorations up.  Dawn had her nutcracker collection out as well.

on Monday William and I went to the Hobbit marathon at the local theater.  We saw the first 2 in the series first then they had a special showing of latest movie The 5 Armies.  No hints though everyone needs to see it themselves.  We had a great time.

So today I woke up to this:

I thought we left Minnesota to get away from this.  Well “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let it Snow”.  Not to much though we need to get around while we are here.

We are anxious to get around and see everyone.
